Ghost Town Blues - Hometown Boy

Gary- I think it was one of the first recordings we had for Ghost Town Blues and if i remember correctly I kept messing up the recording of it and the version we have here was a "last chance" from Shane. One of the few things I have hung up on my house is a certificate my Grandmother got for music in 1943. I didnt even know it existed until after she died and it got passed onto me. The picture of my grandad is one that I am not sure where it is hung but its about somewhere of him walking about up at his old house smoking a pipe. Thought those two deserved a happy song. Plus any song that has Islandmoyle in the chorus cant be that bad. Im glad we got there in the end with it

Shane-  just me & Gary on this. One of the more upbeat tracks. Love the wee stories it tells about his grandparents.

Decky- Hometown boy is a track I never found my place on. But it's not a song that needs me depressing up the place. Shane's guitar work mixes quite well with a bouncy vocal line from Gary giving possibly the jauntiest tune we have
